The majority of Southwestern Services project management and executive team began their careers with retailers.  We understand the time-sensitive nature of construction projects and offer customer focused solutions.

OUR TEAM

John S. Lee

President

John has been associated with Southwestern Services since 1997, serving as Controller and Vice President until 2008. He returned in 2012 to lead the company. John holds a degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in Mathematics. John believes in reciprocal customer relationships built on the delivery of ongoing solutions which are based on a real understanding of the customer’s business needs.

Gary C. Wortham

General Manager

Gary joined Southwestern Services in 2002, bringing over 25 years of experience in marketing, customer services, and new business development. Gary’s career progressed through sales and marketing to Vice President of Sales and Marketing of a major national company, later serving as President and CEO.  His definition for success is surpassing customer’s expectations and his passion is Team Building with our customers.  Gary holds a degree from Texas A&M and serves on the 12th Man Foundation, Ambassador Council. In addition, he serves on the Construction Industry Advisory Council, Texas A&M Construction Science Department. Gary believes in meeting our customer’s needs by literally being an extension of our customer’s team taking the “worry” out of construction management for you, the customer.

Jack Keller

Vice President

Jack joined Southwestern Services in early 2015 after spending 20 years as the Director of Store Planning and Construction for one of the largest Christian retailers in the country. Jack led their expansion of nearly 180 new units in his tenure, in addition to his leadership capacity for store remodels, relocations, and acquisitions. He has sat in the same chair that today’s retail project manager sits in and has first-hand experience in executing demanding growth with smaller staff retailer construction departments. He has in depth, hands-on experience working with architects, engineers, codes departments, landlords, store designers, FFE suppliers, AutoCAD and all the necessary components to take a project through its lifecycle. Jack understands the challenges of today’s retailer and brings rewarding solutions based on successful results experience. He solidly believes in the servant leadership model and that Southwestern Services exists to serve the needs of our retail partners. Jack holds a B.S. degree in Economics from Tennessee Tech University and is based in our Nashville, Tennessee office.

Terry Easley

Director of Construction

Terry joined Southwestern Services in 2007 after spending over 15 years as a construction manager with one of the largest retailers in the country. Terry understands customer impact on remodels, and plans specifically to minimize the direct impact on our customer daily sales. Terry believes in effective daily communication and in providing professional solutions for successful projects

Dana Robinson

Manager of Internal Operations

Dana joined Southwestern Services in 2012 with an extensive background in customer service. Through the years she has taken a much more active role in the day to day operations of all projects. There is not a project that comes through Southwestern Services that Dana does not have a hand in. She is finishing a degree in Business Management from University of Texas. Her extensive background in customer service has given her a head start with client management making our customers more part of their projects from start to finish.

Mike Freidenberger

Senior Project Manager

Mike joined Southwestern Services in 2011 following a 25-year career in retail construction. Mike has worked for one of the nation’s largest retailers as a Store Manager and a Construction Manager as well as a successful sub-contractor for Southwestern Services. Mike’s experience in remodels, finish-outs, special projects, and roll-outs comes from “hands on” knowledge and consistently delivering on time/under budget projects. His attention to detail and his strive to exceed customer expectations has led to strong business relationships with our vendors resulting in success and profitability for all.

Randall Ford

Senior Project Manager

Randall joined Southwestern Services in 2014, bringing with him 15 years of industry experience and a unique perspective gained from his background in architecture, estimating and operations. Having spent time as an in-house construction manager for a fortune 500 retailer, Randall understands the time-sensitive nature of construction projects in the retail environment and is able to offer innovative, customer focused solutions. Randall is passionate about the community and civic engagement, serving on the board for a Fort Worth based non-profit, Project Success and volunteering with several local organizations.

Brian Dowse

Safety/Quality Assurance Officer

Brian joined Southwestern Services in 2015 following a 25 year career in Retail Construction for two nationally recognized retailers. Brian also spent 5 years in ͞ground up͟construction for a major real estate development company. His experience in group up and finish out expands Southwestern Services ability to handle all the construction needs of our customers. Brian believes in the ͞hands on͟ and on site approach to success & having worked in both sides of the business has given him a better understanding of the customer while providing quality service.

Jason Lourance

Project Manager

Jason joined Southwestern Services in 2014 following a 12-year career in retail construction. Jason has over 20 years in the construction industry, many of which were serving as an onsite Superintendent throughout his career. Jason’s experience in remodels, finish-outs, special projects, and roll-outs comes from “hands on” knowledge and consistently delivering on time/under budget projects. His attention to detail and his strive to exceed customer expectations has led to strong business relationships with our vendors resulting in success and profitability for all.

Jason Tucker

Project Manager

Jason joined Southwestern Services in 2014 after 15 years in the industry. Jason has become an expert planning, organizing, budgeting, developing and implementing the construction schedule. He takes the overall performance and successful management of each one of his projects very seriously. He has run all types of projects including rollouts, store expansions, remodels, build-outs as well as facility maintenance. Jason believes that working with everyone involved in a project will help ensure the successful completion.

Matthew Gaunt

Project Manager

Matt has been in the construction industry for over 35 years with experience in ground up construction, trouble shooting lay-out problems in all phases of construction & restaurant remodels. He has extensive experience in contracting tenant space build-outs for numerous retail chains. He has designed and built everything from banking facilities, insurance buildings, houses to multi-family dwellings. Matt was part of the restoration of The Sutton House originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1906 in where he worked with Wright schooled John Thorpe and associate on plans and design.

Wesley Jones

Project Manager

Wesley joined Southwestern Services in 2015 after 20+ years in construction. Upon completion of his military career he held positions from apprentice to project manager in all aspects of the construction industry. He got his start in plumbing and masonry before getting involved in project management. Wesley believes working directly with our customers will ensure a smooth project from start to finish and maximize satisfaction upon completion.

Rick Garcia

Project Manager

Rick Joined Southwestern Services in April 2017 following a 23-year career for a Big Box Retailer where he worked as an Assistant Store Manager as well as a Construction Manager. Rick has experience in all phases of retail construction ranging from New Ground Up Construction to Remodels in a fully operational Facility. Rick’s attention to detail and customer satisfaction has made him a valuable addition to our team.
